Aetna is Being Sued by Consumer Advocacy Group

The Houston Chronicle reports that Citizens for Economic Opportunity (CEO) filed suit against health insurer Aetna, Inc. and its subsidiary, Strategic Resources Co. (SRC), for misleading plan members into thinking they have more comprehensive coverage than they actually have.  SRC sells plans with annual benefit caps as low as $1,000.  CEO also named the Connecticut Department of Insurance in the suit for allowing Aetna to sell the plans through SRC.
